It's been a busy summer for Neal Ardley and his Academy staff - and so far, it's been very productive.

Not only have the under 18s enjoyed three pre-season fixtures without defeat so far, but Ards and co have also been able to add to their ranks with the acquisition of three French based youngsters.
Ards told Cardiff City Player's Katie Haylock on Tuesday: "We brought the lads in after Dave Jones called me during the summer and said he'd been tipped off about some players by an agent. I wasn't available to go out to the showcase they were playing at in France, but Lee Skyrme our under 18 coach was.

"Lee came back with a list of about eighteen players! Obviously we couldn't take on that many, but he narrowed it down to the three he really felt stood out and we took it from there.
"In fairness to Lee, we brought the three lads over and realised that they were of the highest standard. We've got a young goalkeeper called Brian Martin who's very brave and athletic; Yannis Drais, a centre forward who's very much in the mould of Jay Bothroyd; and Kevin Sainte Luce, a quick, agile and exciting right winger.
Some or all of the lads may feature in the under 18s' game with Haverfordwest County on Saturday 31 July (kick-off 2.30pm). Check our Academy News section and Cardiff City Player for that result, plus all the latest from the Bluebirds youngsters throughout the 2010/11 season.
