Cardiff City's under 18 side continued their impressive form this season with a 2-0 victory at Birmingham City in the Premier Academy League recently.

Leading Academy scorer Jesse Darko got the first of the young Bluebirds' goals against Blues, before talented winger Kevin Sainte-Luce sealed the win in the Midlands on January 28.

Indeed it's the pairing of Darko and Sainte-Luce that lead the way this season in our Academy goal-scoring stakes for those eligible for our under 18 and under 21 sides. Jesse leads the way with nine strikes to his name with Kevin just behind on eight. The top three is completed by French striker Yannis Drais who currently has six Academy goals.

Chasing the top three are the trio of Gethyn Hill, Jordan Carter and Declan John who each have four goals to date this term in all competitions. They are joined by second-year-professional Jon Meades who has netted four times for the Club's under 21 Development side.

Cardiff City under 18s next fixture is at home to Coventry City at Cardiff Athletics Stadium on Saturday 11 February. Kick-off is at 11.30am - providing the perfect aperitif for Bluebirds fans who aren't making the trip to watch our first-team take on Leicester City later that afternoon.
