ACCESS CONTROL STEP BY STEP
To gain entry to the Bluebirds Championship fixtures at our Cardiff City Stadium, the club has adopted an access control card system.
This system operates at some of the leading European football clubs and was recently installed successfully at the Emirates for Arsenal.
Access control cards allow you to gain access easily to the ground and will also help speed up the purchase and administration of your seat for the event.
Once you have purchased your access control card for the season the card will be registered to your account. This will stop the issues relating to purchasing tickets and will eliminate the need for the posting and collection of tickets.
Once you have purchased the event of your choice over the phone or online, your card will become active for that event. There's no more waiting for tickets in the post or having to come to collections.
Stadium Cards will cost £3.50 are now on sale. All cards will be valid for the 2009-10 season.Tickets will only be sold on a match day.
Step by step guide of how to use your access control card.

• On arrival to the turnstile, have your access card to hand.
• At each turnstile you will see a reader.
• Place your card in the reader. It doesn't matter which way up or which way around, simply ensure that the card is inserted in to the reader.
• The reader will not 'eat' your card like a cash machine, please keep hold of your card as you place it in the reader.
• The reader will read your card and instantly verify that:
1) Your card is valid and valid for today's event.
2) Confirm you are in the correct stand.
3) Whether or not the card belongs to an adult or concession.
• On verifying that all is in order, the reader will display theappropriate light/s based on the following traffic light system:
Green only - valid adult for today's event
Green/Amber - valid concession for today's event
• On seeing a green or green/amber light please do not wait as the turnstile will be opened for you to proceed through.
• If you encounter a red light, it means there is an issue with your card, which we need to investigate. Turnstile supervisors will be outside each set of turnstiles to assist you.
• If no lights are activated when you insert your card please see a turnstile supervisor.
• Please wait for the visitor in front of you to pass through theturnstile before presenting your card.
• A note to parents / guardians - please be careful to ensure that only one card at a time is inserted into the reader.
• If you are a family group, please take care to ensure thatonly one card is inserted at a time and that the visitor is through the turnstile before presenting the next card to the reader.Turnstile staff will be on hand to help if require.
