CITY HAT-TRICK:

Posted on: Sat 28 Jun 2008

Today we can confirm that we have bolstered our squad by registering three signings. Darren Dennehy has joined from Everton, Ross McCormack from Motherwell and Kevin McNaughton has signed a new three year contract.

Darren Dennehy joins us from Everton - the highly rated Republic International set to link up with the squad on Tuesday, giving added depth to the centre-back position. Dennehy, 19, has been with Everton since 2005, but is out of contract and free to move elsewhere.

The Merseyside club had offered Dennehy a full professional contract and the young defender, who can also operate in midfield, feels he can make his mark with the Bluebirds.

Striker Ross McCormack will join Dave Jones ranks after stiff competition from other clubs, both in the Premiership and Championship. The Scotish International will add fire power to the City front line after scoring 11 goals last season. The former Rangers striker has experience in the Champions League and scored the equaliser against F.C. Porto.

Kevin McNaughton made it a Scotch double after agreeing a new three year deal with the Bluebirds. The impressive full back will give welcome news to Dave Jones as he is an integral part of the City side that looks to challenge for promotion next season.

City Chairman Peter Ridsdale said:

"This is further evidence that we are putting together a squad that can compete to gain promotion to the Premier League."
