Our last year at Ninian Park is set to be an historic chapter in the existence of Cardiff City Football Club, with an exciting one set to begin.
To commemorate this and in line with two of our greatest achievements, the new 2008/09 official home shirt will be a mixture of old and new. The shirt this year combines the black shirt design, worn so proudly at Wembley in the F.A. Cup final in May, with the original distressed blue colour from the 1927 final.
Discreet embroidery in the neck hem pays homage to the greatest FA Cup triumph in the clubs history while the Ambassadors choice of a 1970's influence also saw the inclusion of yellow strips, imitating the style of a retro kit design.

As a finishing touch, the End of an Era message woven into the back waist hem is a fond tribute to one of Wales most recognised national sporting venues.
The club strongly believed that the last playing kit to be worn at Ninian Park also called for careful consideration of a suitable shirt sponsor as we look forward to moving into our new stadium.
Although the selection process has taken longer than anticipated, effectively delaying the deliveries into the club and OFFICIAL stores, we are delighted with the relationship we have forged with vansdirect.co.uk and look forward to one of the most significant shirt designs in the clubs history from Joma.
The official Joma home replica shirt will be available in the shop early next week.
