The return of Championship Football gave many Cardiff City supporters a renewed chance to return to Sloper Road since our final match against Barnsley last season - and while ninety important minutes of the trip were used to check out the progress made in football terms, the arrival to Ninian Park also presented the opportunity to witness the amazing progress made in the construction of our new home only a few hundred metres away.

Since May the Laing O'Rourke team and various contractors have all continued to be extremely busy, with the stadium structure, in particular inside the bowl coming on at a rapid pace, best explained by the fantastic fish-eye internal image here. As you can see, the stadium block-work, the majority of the roof structure and many other elements have already been completed, including the fitting of the glass panels on the grandstand and Premier Club sections.
