Posted on: Sat 31 Jan 2009

Article: Barrie McAuliffe

We are pleased today (Saturday January 31st) to announce the capture of 22 year old Ghana International Quincy Owusu-Abeyie on loan from Spartak Moscow until the end of the season.

Quincy will link up with the squad on Monday in readiness to prepare for our Championship encounter with Charlton next Saturday. The versatile striker / left winger has knowledge of Cardiff City from playing and scoring against us while on loan with Birmingham City earlier this season. He also played against the Bluebirds at Highbury in our FA Cup third round 2006 clash against Arsenal, coming on to replace the injured José Antonio Reyes in the second half.

We are sure you will join us in welcoming Quincy to Ninian Park, wishing him every success with Cardiff City for the season as we continue our push for league honours. More information and interviews to follow.
