Quincy first came to the fans attention as a youngster at Arsenal where he dazzled opponents with his breathtaking skill and frightening pace. However, after failing to break into the first team with the Gunners, Quincy decided to move to Russia with Spartak Moscow and he himself admitted the move was a risk.

"Moving to Russia with Spartak was a gamble," explained Quincy. "Arsene Wenger told me of Spartak's interest and I had a look at them. I decided to just go for it, but the football up there wasn't something I really liked so I decided to look into a move back to the UK."

This move back to England turned out to be with recently relegated Birmingham who snapped up the Ghanaian international's services in August 2008 on a loan deal lasting to January 2009, with the opportunity of extending that deal and eventually making it permanent. Luckily for the Bluebirds, however, the Blues decided not to extend the loan deal and Dave Jones swooped for the 22 year-old on loan.

Quincy explained how the move came about, saying, "After the six months ended with Birmingham, I had to leave and I was then told of Cardiff City's interest. They're doing well in the Championship, 4th with a game in hand and they play good football, so I decided to join the club."

The deal with the Bluebirds also includes an option to make the deal permanent, something Quincy was eager to point out was not dependant on Cardiff wining promotion to the Premier League. "There is an option of a permanent deal," Quincy said. "But it's not all down to whether Cardiff can win promotion or not, it's up to me and my performances."

And for all the Cardiff fans eager to find out what Quincy is all about, the man himself was told us that he is willing to play anywhere, well almost anywhere! "To be honest, I don't mind where I play, whether that be upfront or wide, as long as I'm not in defence!" Quincy added.
