FAN FACTOR KEY SAYS JONES
Support the boys and make some noise!!!!" - although usually heard in the pre-match build up by PA announcer Ali at all Cardiff City home games, the phrase was also evoked when Dave called on all Cardiff City fans to help the Bluebirds realise their promotion dream. Dave was speaking to the press in an interview that can be seen in full on Cardiff City World.
"Fans now are going to play a huge part for the rest of the season" Dave explained. "Anyone who saw the game against Wolves could smell the fear around the place when we equalised. You could see that everyone was getting agitated and that transmitted through to the players.
"We're going to get to that stage at some point in the season and when that happens the fans need to be patient and that will be a key factor" The next opportunity for Cardiff fans to get behind their players will be in tonight's clash with fellow promotion rivals QPR, as the R's visit Ninian Park.

Speaking on QPR and the importance of the game as we face another of our promotion rivals, Dave pointed out that at this stage there is all to play for, for any team.
"It's come to the stage of the season where everyone's fighting for something, whether that's trying to stay in the division or get out of it," he said. "I always said it wasn't two out of three for those automatic promotion spots and there's now around half the division fighting for those play off spots, QPR being one of them."
A member of that visiting QPR squad will be very familiar to Bluebirds fans as Wayne Routledge returns to Ninian Park just two months after being last seen in a Cardiff shirt. Wayne enjoyed a short term loan spell with club and was offered a permanent deal at the club, before rejecting the move in favour of QPR's offer. Dave, however, says he does not think of it and is delighted with what he has got. "That's all done now and I don't look back." said Dave. "I'm pleased we were able to bring in Chris Burke and he's been outstanding for us. You win some you lose some, you don't go on about it."
On the injury front for Dave Jones selection issues, the Bluebirds boss will not be able to use Jay Bothroyd after the striker was forced off in the first half of the game against Wolves on Sunday. "Jay won't be fit for the game, he's got a slight tear in his calf." Dave revealed. "It's only a Grade 1 tear, probably 1-2 weeks but it gives someone else in the squad a chance."
