After a last minute winner against Watford in midweek, Cardiff are at Ninian Park again on Sunday. Sheffield United are the visitors in what is undoubtedly a six pointer in the promotion race. Simon Glanville previews the match.
Cardiff team news: Paul Parry is Dave Jones' newest injury concern after the winger had to be taken off at half-time in the game with Watford, due to the recurrence of a knee injury.
Mark Kennedy also faces a race against time to be fit for the Sheffield United game as he is struggling with a hamstring injury. Tony Capaldi is likely to continue at left back, while Peter Enckelman and Tom Heaton remain in the treatment room.
Sheffield United team news: The Blades will be without the prolific Billy Sharp who has been ruled out for the rest of the season.
In more positive news, Danny Webber has recovered from a hamstring strain while Nick Montgomery should be available after illness. Greg Halford has also shaken off tonsillitis and is pushing for a starting spot.
Sheffield United's season so far: The Blades have been one of the front runners for promotion in the Championship this season, after finishing ninth in the division last campaign.
They lost the prolific James Beattie in January to Premier League Stoke, but seem to have managed to replace his goals since. His namesake, Craig Beattie has come in loan from West Brom, and done a decent job up top for Kevin Blackwell's men.
The Blades will visit Ninian Park level on points with Cardiff having played a game more, meaning Sunday's game is a big one if either side is to keep their hopes alive of a top two finish.
Last meeting: It was a stalemate when the two sides met in one of the first games of the season back in August, as neither side could find the breakthrough at Bramall Lane.
Teams from last meeting at Bramall Lane on 30th August, 2008:
Sheffield United: Kenny, Jihai, Kilgallon, Ehiogu, Naysmith, Halford (Cotterill 68), Speed, Tonge (Webber 89), Stephen Quinn, Sharp (Beattie 81), Henderson. Subs not used: Morgan, Spring.
Bluebirds: Heaton, McNaughton, Purse, Comminges, Roger Johnson, Ledley, McPhail, Parry, Whittingham, Bothroyd (Eddie Johnson 86), McCormack (Thompson 89). Subs not used: Enckelman, Gyepes, Blake.
Attendance: 29,226.
Sheffield United last time out: The Blades came through a tough test against Derby last time out to consolidate their place in the top six. Goals from Kyle Naughton and Darius Henderson put the Blades two to the good, but former United striker Rob Hulse pulled one back.
Henderson then grabbed his second to restore the home sides two goal lead, but Barry Bannan registered to bring the Rams within one goal again. It was the Blades who won it though, and substitute Craig Beattie made sure with a late strike.
Sheffield United: Kenny, Bromby (Halford 72), Morgan, Kilgallon, Naysmith, Cotterill (Beattie 83), Naughton, O'Toole, Stephen Quinn, Ward (Howard 90), Henderson. Subs not used: Lupoli, Bennett.
