NINIAN PARK REQUEST ON A BIG DAY

Posted on: Sat 25 Apr 2009

Below is a request to all supporters to help us on what is an important league fixture this Saturday

While this is our final league game at Ninian Park, our season finale is still an uncertainty and the need to ensure that the pitch is in optimum condition for any scenario is very important. In short, Dave Jones has instructed his players that this has to be treated as a very important home league fixture, and we are asking that you do the same.

Prior to the game we would advise that supporters plan their trip to Sloper Road, giving plenty of time to get set for the game. Sloper Road will be closed to traffic at 2:30pm and we are expecting large numbers arriving to enjoy the Ninian Park atmosphere. Please do all you can to arrive early.

Regardless of the outcome on Saturday, we would like to request that none of our supporters enter the pitch area at any time, including after the final whistle. As it stands, while there is a chance that an important fixture may still have to be staged at Ninian Park, we would like to make sure that the playing surface will be ready and in its best condition.

Before the match the only aspects of our end of an Era celebrations are that the team will walk out with eleven young mascots. The rest of pre-match will be business as usual as we concentrate on the important job at hand.

We would like to ask that all supporters to stay in their seat or on the terrace after the game, as End of an Era events to commemorate the final league match have been scheduled.

The team will return to the field of play within five minutes of the final whistle, set to show their appreciation for your fantastic support and kick out specially signed footballs into all sections of the stadium.

Thank you for your assistance in this. We hope that you enjoy the occasion.
