We can confirm that a deal has been finalised between Cardiff City and Birmingham City for the £5m transfer of Roger Johnson to the recently promoted club.

Following an agreement for what Cardiff City considered a suitable fee, and based on the wishes of the player to join the Premier League, Roger entered discussions with Birmingham over personal terms. Today those terms have been agreed and the deal has been completed.

We would like to thank Roger for his service to Cardiff City and will now continue our task of building as strong a squad as possible for the coming season.
