DAVE: NO SMOKE, NO FIRE
Cardiff City manager Dave Jones will publish his autobiography next Wednesday (1st July 2009).
In the book, entitled No Smoke, No Fire, Dave tells the remarkable story of how he managed to clear his name when faced with the terrible ordeal of being charged with sexually abusing minors.
Somehow, with help from his close friends and family, Dave kept his dignity and honour in the face of a barrage of lies concocted by witnesses who themselves were convicted felons.
Eventually the truth emerged and the Judge halted the high profile trial and completely exonerated Dave saying to him 'on this occasion there is no smoke, no fire,' hence the title of this devastatingly honest book.
Dave has never talked in detail about this draining and difficult period of his life before and in the book he and his wife Ann reveal how their strong relationship was at the foundation of how they managed to cope with everything that was thrown at them.
Of course Dave also talks about his football career in the book, not least how he took the Bluebirds to the FA Cup final in 2008 and the huge disappointment of just missing out on the play-offs last season.
Always honest, emotional and gripping, Dave's book is a must for all Bluebirds fans.
