Ninian is alive and kicking - meet seven-month-old Livy Ninian Kuropatwa.

Little Livy was there to greet City stars Michael Chopra, Joe Ledley and Mark Hudson when the lads met the fans at the Texaco filling station at Beddau.

Mum Joanna explained: "Her Dad Chris is a lifelong Cardiff City fan, and he was at the last home game at Ninian Park. He wanted the baby's middle name to be Ninian so that she would know what her dad was all about. He really is Cardiff City mad.

"There are plenty of City fans round here - my friend's little boy is named after Joe Ledley!"

So as the old ground enters its last days at the hands of the demolition men, the famous name lives on.

The players were at the Texaco Llantwit Main Service Station at Beddau to mark the launch of Texaco's new Techron additive fuel. Hundreds of fans turned out to meet the stars, who signed photocards, T-shirts and mini footballs in a two-hour meet-the-people session.
