HOLLOWAY: CALL MY SISTER BACK

Following his sides 1-1 draw against the Bluebirds, Blackpool's unreserved boss Ian Holloway admitted that he was surprised and disappointed with the reaction of sections of the home crowd.
Delivering the accustomed entertaining press conference after the game at Cardiff City Stadium, Holloway commented: "Who do you think you're playing - some nuggets from Blackpool? My team are good, I was starting to take it quite personal.
"From Dave's point of view - what are they moaning about? Is fourth in the table not good enough at the minute with a chance to have a good run in? I don't understand."
"I thought they played really well in the first half," Holloway added. "Unfortunately we played really well second half, but don't go booing your team because my team played quite well.
"It's like putting a rusty bucket down my well that is, like taking my sister out and never ringing her up again. You don't do things like that; we're not a bad team at times."
Surprise package Blackpool earned a point thanks to Charlie Adam's ninth goal of the season and Holloway thanked everyone who was involved in ensuring Saturday's tie went ahead: "With the problems we had last week, you've got to credit everybody connected with Cardiff to get this game on and the longer the game went on I would have probably taken another half.
"The crowd turned on them and we gained momentum, but I am fed up of it that people are expecting to beat Blackpool. Haven't they heard what we are doing or seen some of the football we have been playing? That was a tough game and we took the momentum; that's what football is like."
But Ian was quick to move back to the defence of his opposite number, saying: "For a team to be fourth and get booed off at the end - what's all that about? Dave has done a magnificent job here. Was it because they were expecting to beat us and whoop our backside? well more fool you, we've got some good players here.
"Just look where Dave started here and where they are now. Great training facilities, superb ground and has made this club £10 million every year whether he wanted to or not. What a fantastic job he's done.
"What are they moaning about? I call it selfish, of course you want to get up so much but so does he. It's no good moaning is it? What will that achieve?"
Holloway also took time out to comment on Josh Magennis, whose league debut was unfortunately cut short after fracturing his fibula in a fifty-fifty challenge: "The young lad did well before he got injured and boy was he a hand full.
"He's another one from the youth set up and you've got the right back Adam Matthews from the Academy as well, what more do you want?"
