Michael Chopra promised Cardiff City fans that he will score a lot more goals now that he has ended a three-month drought.
Chops, who hadn't scored since hitting four against Derby at the end of September, broke his duck with a spectacular long range strike in the 1-1 FA Cup draw at Bristol City.
He said: "A lot of people have been criticising me recently, I've been on a long goal drought, and exactly the same happened to me last time I was here. As a striker, I have a lot of belief in my ability and I know if I get chances I'll score goals. I've proved people wrong again today.
"A lot of people will be saying it's a great goal, but the important thing for me was just to get one. I'm capable of scoring all sorts of goals and there'll be a lot more coming now. My confidence was knocked a little but I was just waiting for the chances to come along. It's just a shame we didn't see the game out.
"When you stop scoring you've got to look at your game. It was was disappointing to be on the bench on Saturday. The gaffer started me tonight, and I was desperate to repay him. I think it will spark a run. Once I get one there'll be a lot more coming. I can't wait for the next game at the weekend.
"Young Aaron Wildig came in and did well, although it was disappointing to hear another one of our young players, Adam Matthews being booed on Saturday because I know as a young player it's difficult when you come into the team. But the fans were fantastic tonight and if they continue to back us we'll be heading in the right direction."
Looking ahead to next Tuesday's replay, Chops said: "We played Bristol City earlier in the season at home and turned them over. We should also be stronger next week because more of the boys will be fit."
He also brushed aside suggestions that he would leave during the January transfer window, saying: "I see myself as a Cardiff City player with two and a half years on my contract. I will continue working my socks off for Cardiff."
