Cardif City striker Michael Chopra is targeting 30 goals for this season after breaking his three-month drought at Bristol City on Tuesday.
Chops said ahead of Saturday's Championship clash at Scunthorpe: "Not scoring was a massive weight on my shoulders - people were making a big thing of it. I know in my career I'll have patches where I don't score. It's a case of overcoming it.
"I'd like to be top scorer in the division and a couple of years ago I missed out because a red card meant I missed the last three games of the season.
"I'm desperate to go that one step further. I always set myself targets and challenges and my challenge this year was 30 goals. I still believe I can do that. And if you score 30 goals you should be top of the charts.
"The goal at Bristol City helped me, but tomorrow the aim is three points for Cardiff City. We were in a good position coming into the New Year and now we have to build on it."
With Jay Bothroyd struggling to make the Scunthorpe match, Ross McCormack could partner Chops, who said:"I can play with Ross - the first few games of the season, Ross played left or in behind me and Jay, and pepole weren't complaining when we were winning games.
"Scunthorpe will have in the back of their minds what happened in the first match of the season when we won 4-0 at our place. We know going up there will be tough for us, but if we want to get out of this division we need to get a string of results together.
"We now need to close the gap on teams ahead of us and with Newcastle playing West Brom on Monday, that gives us a chance because somebody will drop points in the game."
