DAVE: WE'LL BE CONFIDENT
Dave Jones has promised Cardiff City fans that the team will not be going to Chelsea for "a day out" in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
Manager Dave said: "We will travel with confidence and have a go - that's what we are all about. We're not just going for a day out. We're more professional than that.
"We're a football club with a pride about ourselves and no matter who you play, you believe you can anywhere and get something from the game. If you don't believe that, don't bother going.
"If we're honest with ourselves, which we are, we'll have to be at our best and they'll have to be just off their best and then you might get a result nobody expects. But we'll go there with confidence and look forward to playing one of the best sides in Europe.
"Everybody wants to play, but every game you play is a challenge. You want to play against the best week in week out and we are going to get an opportunity to play against a team who have played in the Champions League final, and won the League, FA Cup and League Cup over the last 10 years - a fantastic opportunity to visit their stadium.
"Nobody here has a shirt up for grabs just because there's a cup tie in a few weeks' time. Everybody here has a shirt up for grabs because they're paid, they're professionals and they should always want to play. If they only want to play because there's a cup tie coming up they won't be here much longer than it takes me to shove them through the door. They're here because they want to be part of this club, not part of playing a big game every so often.
"It would have been nice to get Chelsea at home. But it will be an experience for fans as well as players and everyone associated with the club. We've been to places like Arsenal and Tottenham and they are great places to go."
