Cardiff City have won the F&C Investments Performance of the Week award for Tuesday's brilliant 6-0 win at Bristol City.

The League Managers Association five-man Performance of the Week panel, comprising LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry, were in agreement that the award should go to the Bluebirds.

Cardiff manager Dave Jones will receive a specially engraved crystal football in a presentation to be screened on Sky Soccer Saturday this weekend.

This is the first time Dave and his players have received the award this season. Cardiff moved into fourth position in the Coca-Cola Championship table with the win and were 4-0 up at half time, with goals from Peter Whittingham, Ross McCormack (2), Michael Chopra (2), and a Liam Fontaine own goal.

Second half goals followed with McCormack and Chopra making Cardiff the second highest scorers in the division behind West Bromwich Albion.
