Aaron Wildig scored his first professional goal at Newcastle last Friday - but wishes he'd done so in different circumstances.

"It was nice to score, although it was with mixed emotions in a way because of the fact we were losing," said Aaron.

"Ideally I would have liked to have scored my first goal in a game we'd go on to win but a goal is a goal and I'll take it. It certainly wasn't bad scoring it in front of 44,000 at St. James' Park but again, that would have been better had we been in a winning position."

The youngster now said the focus was solely on Tuesday evening's game with Peterborough United at Cardiff City Stadium - and he's looking for a win.

"Tuesday is an early chance to move on from the Newcastle game, but we'll have to be prepared against Peterborough.

"They have a new manager now of course who got off to a winning start on Saturday and we only have to think back to the 4-4 fixture at London Road just after Christmas to know what they're capable of.

"It's going to be a tough game as all Championship fixtures are, but if we are at our best then we can certainly take the three points."
