CHELSEA v CITY COVERAGE

Posted on: Fri 12 Feb 2010
This Saturday's FA Cup Fifth Round match featuring cup holders Chelsea against Cardiff City will be streamed LIVE and for FREE on The FA's internet site www.TheFA.com. This match follows the seven games already streamed live this season from the first to fourth rounds proper.

The live FAtv programme from Stamford Bridge will be presented by Jim Rosenthal and starts at 11.40am ahead of a 12.00 noon kick-off. This is the first time that UK and Ireland internet viewers will see a competitive match featuring one of the 'big four' clubs in an exclusive free-to-view internet event. Thegame will also be carried live and with a Welsh commentary by S4C.

Commenting on the announcement, Ian Watmore, Chief Executive Officer of The FA said: "This is another important step in the delivery of FAtv as a premium streaming service, and we fully expect this weekend's webcast to be one of the single most-viewed football matches on the internet.

"Already this season over half a million live separate streams have been viewed in the UK and Ireland on FAtv and this shows that there's a growing appetite for watching football live on the internet."

Note: All matches streamed for free on FAtv at www.TheFA.com/FAtv are only available to internet users in the UK and Ireland.
