FAMILIES ENJOY AWAYDAY

Posted on: Thu 18 Feb 2010

Cardiff City officially opened their "Enjoy The Match" Family Section for Tuesday's match with West Bromwich Albion.

The Bluebirds have allocated 125 seats in the away sections for families only with a further 30 allocated parking spaces in the designated "Enjoy The Match" section of the car park.

The Family Section in the away area is heavily branded with the Football League campaign "Enjoy The Match" and families can enjoy a safe and secure environment with the same pricing as home fans in the equivalent area.

Head of Customer Service and Ticketing Julian Jenkins said of the successful launch: "It was a massive success on the night and supporters were thanking us for our efforts. A clear message that comes out all too often is that all away supporters want to have is parity, which we are more than happy to provide.

"Families enjoyed the safe and secure environment in the knowledge they don't have to worry about some issues in football like persistent swearing."

As a part of the plan Cardiff City also had two Family Liaison Officers in the area and allocated parking for families adjacent to the entrance to the away section. The concourse area is also heavily branded with the "Enjoy The Match" campaign with video and audio back-up.
