ENCKS TARGETS PLAY-OFFS

Posted on: Fri 26 Feb 2010

Keeper Peter Enckelman has returned to the Cardiff City team determined to see the Bluebirds reach the play-offs.

Encks, who made his first league appearance of the season in last Saturday's match with Barnsley, said: "It's nice to be on the pitch and getting first-team action again.

"At the moment we've got a really good team spirit. The lads who go out there are giving everything and the lads who don't play are supporting them 100 per cent. Do I think we'll be in the play-offs come May? Of course I do."

Encks, who is aiming to keep his place in Saturday's Championship clash at Preston, added: "On Monday and Tuesday, we went through the defeat by Barnsley . The manager said have a look at the game, see what you think and look at what you could have done better. The last couple of days' training have been really good.

"March will be interesting with so many games coming up. There will be a sustained period where we play a couple of game a week, but we know we can do it - it's just a question of keeping everyone fit and healthy."
