Cardiff City manager Dave Jones blasted Michael Chopra for the 'stupid' booking which will keep the striker out of the Bluebirds' next two games.

Chopra was yellow-carded by referee Grant Hegley for a clash with Ipswich midfielder Owen Garvan, and is out of the top six showdown with Leicester on Saturday and the match at Coventry next Tuesday.

It was Chops' tenth yellow card of the season, and Dave said after the 2-0 defeat at Portman Road: "It's a stupid booking. There was no reason for what he did.

"It's a silly, silly booking. It's a frustration booking. He's got to be a better professional than that because that's a crazy booking to pick up.

"He'll miss two games now because of his lack of professionalism. But it might give somebody else the opportunity to stake their claim."
