The nation's favourite choir, Only Men Aloud, are launching their VOTE OMA campaign to land a Classical Brit Award with a performance at the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday to entertain the crowds before the Bluebirds' game against Watford.
The Cardiff-based choir have received a Classical Brit nomination in the NS&I Album of the Year category for their second album Band of Brothers and the winners will be chosen by public vote. The boys are now out and about in Wales to make sure their home city and nation gets behind them and vote online before the deadline of April 23 on http://brits.co.uk/classicalbrits
Musical Director Tim Rhys-Evans said: "Cardiff City is our home club so we're all looking forward to warming up the fans before Sunday's kick off, and hopefully get everyone behind our bid for a Brit."
Only Men Aloud won BBC's Last Choir Standing competition and have been performing all over the world since then, only recently returning from a series of events in Manhattan to celebrate Wales Week USA. Their fresh, dynamic approach to the traditional Welsh male choirs landed them a major record deal with global giants Universal Music.
Julian Jenkins Cardiff City's Head of Customer Service and Ticketing said: "It will be great to see the guys on Sunday. I'm sure they will set the atmosphere for the afternoon and we would like to thank them for coming along. We would urge all Bluebirds fans to vote for the boys and we would love to see them lift the prestigious award."
In their short career, Only Men Aloud have already worked with big names including Aled Jones, Katherine Jenkins, Bryn Terfel, Michael Ball and Karl Jenkins. They were the first live act to perform in the Wales Millennium Centre, at a dinner to honour Miss Bassey.
The deadline for voting is April 23 and the Classical Brit Awards will take place on May 13.
