Cardiff City boss Dave Jones sprang a major surprise by naming Joe Ledley on the bench against derby day rivals Swansea.
Anthony Gerrard is fit to start alongside Darcy Blake in central defence in the absence of Paul Quinn.
Quinny failed a fitness test three hours before kick-off, which meant Gerrard's return after an absence of four games with a calf injury.
Joe had not played for the Bluebirds since the 6-0 victory at Bristol City on January 26. He has since had two operations on his hips and was originally ruled out for the entire season so his return is way ahead of schedule.
Injuries suffered in Tuesday's 2-1 win over play-off rivals Leicester meant that winger Chris Burke and full back Mark Kennedy were not available. In addition central defender Gabor Gyepes was unavailable through suspension after his red card against the Foxes, although he will be out for four weeks with a torn hamstring.
Tony Capaldi slots in at left back in place of Kennedy, while Ross McCormack, who started Tuesday's match in a striking role, moves to the left of midfield. Michael Chopra, on the bench on Tuesday returns in attack alongside Jay Bothroyd who has completed a two match suspension.
