Peter Whittingham and Michael Chopra have been named in the Professional Footballers Association Championship team of the year.
Whitts, who scored a brilliant goal from a free kick in Saturday's 3-2 win over Sheffield Wednesday, has hit 23 goals from midfield this season, and leads the Championship scoring charts with 20.
Chops has scored 19, including 16 in the Championship, where he is fourth top scorer.
The PFA citation said of the two City stars: "A member of Aston Villa's FA Youth Cup winning side of 2002, Peter learned his trade at Villa Park but has truly come of age with Cardiff and found his niche as a creative midfield player with an eye for goal. His 20-plus goal haul has been a huge bonus for the Bluebirds.
"Michael was in danger of becoming labelled something of a loan ranger after a succession of spells on the road at such clubs as Watford, Nottingham Forest, Barnsley and Cardiff where he has now settled and is producing the best, most consistent form of his career."
Former Bluebird Chris Gunter, now at Nottingham Forest, also made the team, which is voted for by PFA members. Four players from newly-crowned champions Newcastle make the ine-up.
Manchester United's Wayne Rooney was named PFA Footballer of the Year, and James Milner of Aston Villa won the Young Footballer of the Year award.
