The unbeaten run that has seen City cement their play-off spot with games to spare hasn't gone unnoticed by the judging panels, as Dave Jones and Peter Whittingham have been shortlisted for the April manager and player of the month awards respectively.

Dave has been named alongside Chris Hughton, Ian Holloway and Nigel Pearson for the Coca-Cola award, while Whitts' competition for the gong comes from Gary Hooper of Scunthorpe, Andy King of Leicester and Newcastle's Kevin Nolan.

No doubt all in the play-off mix have their eyes on the bigger prize at stake, but the nominations certainly reflect the efforts, skill and achievements of all concerned. Well done to all ... we'll be hoping Dave, Whitts and everyone else at the club can push on to pick up the most important trophy in May.
