FIRST BLOOD: ORANGE

Posted on: Sat 08 May 2010

It's Blackpool who have the early advantage in the Championship Play-off Semi-Final first leg, taking a 2-1 lead from Bloomfield Road over rivals Nottingham Forest.

In a fired up encounter where the wind played a part, Blackpool responded to going a goal behind from an audacious curling strike from Chris Cohen.

The Tangerines restored parity through Keith Southern in the first half, but took and held the lead in the second forty five via the penalty spot and Charlie Adam after DJ Campbell had been bundled down by James Perch.

As the old adage goes, it's only half time, with Forest having an impressive home record to build on should they reach the final at Wembley.

Who will the victors face? We'll learn something of that on Sunday at the Walkers Stadium, with everything to play for next week.
