Local pie manufacturer Peter's has vowed to keep the dedicated football fans at Cardiff City well fed as they travel to Pride Park for their first away match of the new season this weekend.
The pie manufacturer will be handing out free products to fans travelling on official club coaches to the Derby game. It is also estimated that fans will munch through 40,000 pies this season!

Not only did we produce the very special 'Cardiff' Pie to be enjoyed b 'City fans earlier this year but we are dedicated to supporting the club; to be associated with a team that, like us, is at the top of its league is important to us".
"As an official supplier we feel a responsibility to ensure that 'City fans are well fed, not only at Cardiff City Stadium but as they travel across the UK to support their club at away games. This is why we decided to give away free pies for selected matches, starting with the Derby clash this weekend."

The trip to Derby will not be the first time Peter's have fed the fans. The pie manufacturer gave out a whopping 1,400 free products to Cardiff City supporters travelling to the Championship play-off finals at Wembley in May.
The contract agreed with Cardiff City is part of a plan for the South Wales pie manufacturer to become the food of choice for football and rugby fans across the UK following the acquisition of twelve new contracts this summer in stadiums across England and Wales.
Peter's now supply twenty-eight stadiums nationwide and is under final stages of negotiation with a further five. The South Wales pie manufacturer plans to continue its success over the next year by hoping to secure a further twenty stadiums by the end of 2011. With ten depots across the UK including Bedwas in Caerphilly, Peter's are well represented nationally and able to deliver anywhere in the UK.
