Cardiff City can confirm that Craig Bellamy has on Thursday afternoon been fully registered to play in the npower Championship - and as a result is now fully eligible to join the match-day squad for our home game against Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.
As anticipated the match has certainly captured the imagination of Cardiff City fans with a home sell-out expected at Cardiff City Stadium for the 3pm league fixture. Season tickets sales are also going well and offer great value compared to match day prices.
In terms of retail, shirt sales have boomed, as have sales of printed names and numbers. Demand was in fact so high yesterday that new stock was ordered, arriving this morning to satisfy supporters calling in to our stadium superstore. We are also set to unveil limited edition posters, t-shirts and polo shirts this Saturday.
Programme sales are also expected to rocket on the weekend of Craig's prospective first match in Cardiff City colours, in an edition where we are honoured to be celebrating the life of true Cardiff City legend Brian Clark, including a commemorative collectors pull-out of the famous 1971 Real Madrid match at Ninian Park.
Advice for Cardiff City fans is to enjoy the day by booking tickets, programmes as early as possible to avoid queues or disappointment.
