Jason Koumas makes his first start since returning to the Bluebirds against Peterborough at London Road, stepping in for Craig Bellamy who didn't travel.

Koumas will play in an advanced left midfield role, with Chris Burke playing on the right in place of the injured Michael Chopra. Seyi Olofinjana, Peter Whittingham and Danny Drinkwater will play in the three natural central midfield positions as they did against Doncaster.

Anthony Gerrard returns at centre-back in place of Gabor Gyepes, whilst Lee Naylor makes his first Bluebirds start replacing Kevin McNaughton at left-back. Tom Heaton makes his second start of the season in goal in place of David Marshall.
