JOHNNY & OWEN ON SOCCER AM

Posted on: Fri 27 Aug 2010

Friends of Cardiff City Johnny Owen and Owen Powell will be promoting the 'I'll Be There' single this coming Saturday morning on Soccer AM (starts 10am).

Actor & singer Johnny and former Catatonia guitarist Owen will be joining Helen Chamberlain and Max Rushden on the sofa to discuss the song and it's forthcoming release in October. All proceeds from the single will go to the Fred Keenor Statue Appeal.

Johnny and Owen were joined in studio to record their version of the famous song by Super Furry Animals' bass player Guto Price and Funeral for a Friend's Ryan Richards - who stepped in to the role sadly left by the late Stuart Cable. Cardiff City media department's very own Barrie McAuliffe also features on the record on backing vocals, as does Jay Pepper of seminal Welsh glam rock stars Tigertailz.

So tune into Soccer AM to hear all about the single and the cause at 10am on Saturday morning. With Johnny and Owen being big 'City fans, there'll be plenty of Bluebirds related banter going on to.
