Football League sponsors npower have released their nomination lists for the August manager and player of the month awards.

Bluebirds boss Dave Jones is up for the manager award, alongside QPR's Neil Warnock, Millwall's Kenny Jackett and Ipswich Town's Roy Keane. The Bluebirds, along with Warnock and Keane's sides, have each managed to accumulate ten points from their first four Championship games; Jackett's Millwall meanwhile have recorded three wins.

'City striker Jay Bothroyd finds himself up for the npower Championship player of the month award, after scoring four goals in the Bluebirds' opening four league fixtures. He's up against Leeds United goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, QPR talisman Adel Taarabt and Millwall defender Paul Robinson.

The winners of the manager and player awards will be announced by npower on Thursday 9th September and will subsequently be awarded their trophies.
