On 15th September, Bluebirds fans Scott and Rhys Jenkins begin their mammoth 2,000 mile run from Boston, Massachusets to Austin, Texas.

Sponsored by official Cardiff City kit supplier Puma, the lads are attempting to set a world record for the most amount of consecutive marathons completed.

The challenge, which is set to take approximately two and a half months, will see them cross 9 US states at a distance of between 30-40 miles a day. It is some effort indeed.

Scott and Rhys dropped by the Bluebirds' Vale of Glamorgan training resort earlier this week, to get some motivational tips from their footballing heroes before the off. They are pictured here with Peter Whittingham, Craig Bellamy and Jay Bothroyd with a signed Bluebirds shirt.
