Welcome to the club Kevin. Tell us firstly how the move came about and why you wanted to join us.
Thanks. Cardiff had been looking at me for a while actually. I think they approached Aberdeen a while back, but now with my contract running out I had a few options. I chose Cardiff because it's an up and coming club and I really think that the manager has got things moving in the right direction.

We understand that you're seen as quite the utility player also.
That's right I guess. My last manager, Jimmy Calderwood used to play me in quite a few different positions, as he did change his tactics quite a lot. I've played both fullback positions and centre-half, plus right and left midfield - even a couple in centre midfield as well. I suppose that I am quite versatile. My debut for Scotland was at right back and I've also played right midfield as well at International level.
How have the lads helped you to settle in so far?
They've been great. I've been speaking to a few of them and there're obviously a few new guys there also, and that probably makes it a little bit easier. I'm enjoying things so far and enjoying the city.

And finally, tell us of your aspirations at Cardiff both for the club and yourself.
Obviously we have to try and push for promotion - everybody wants it. I know it's going to be a tough season because there are a lot of strong teams in the league, but I'm just looking forward to playing for my new club. I'll just try to prove myself at a different level first as it's a step up for me. I'm looking forward to getting the season underway as this is the first time that I've ever moved clubs. It's definitely a new challenge for me.
