Signed by Manchester United as a trainee, Tom became a full professional in July 2003. He did not make any first-team appearances for them though, and had loan-spells at Swindon in 2005/06, Royal Antwerp in 2006/07, and at Cardiff City for 2008/09 making 24 League and Cup appearances. Last season (2009/10) he had loan-spells at Queens Park Rangers, Rochdale and Wycombe, and returned to Cardiff City as a full signing on July 1st 2010. He is a former England Youth and Under-21 International.
