13. TOM HEATON: GOALKEEPER
Signed on a season-long loan from Manchester United this summer, Tom was on United's bench on several occasions during 2007/08, including a few UEFA Champions League games, though not for the Final against Chelsea in Moscow last May. Chester-born Tom originally joined Manchester United as a trainee and became a full professional in 2003/04. He has yet to make his senior debut for the Club, but has played first-team football when he had fourteen League appearances for Swindon Town on loan during the 2005/06 season. He also had a loan-spell with Belgian club Royal Antwerp that season. He is an England Youth International, and will compete for a first-team place at Cardiff City with Peter Enckelman.
