Kevin began his career with Aberdeen whom he joined as a junior. He became a full professional with them on August 8th 1999. He made 202 first-team appearances for them before joining Cardiff City on a free transfer in July 2006 and has been a regular for them ever since, apart from injury absences. He can play at right or left-back and in a central defensive position. A Scottish International with Aberdeen and Cardiff, he was recalled to the Scotland squad in August 2010 for their European Championship qualifying matches against Lithuania and Lichtenstein.
