Originally with Tranmere Rovers whom he joined as a trainee, Jason became a full professional with them November 1997. In August 2002 he joined West Bromwich Albion and spent the 2005/06 season on loan with Cardiff City. After making nearly 150 first-team appearances for Albion, he moved to Wigan Athletic in July 2007. Injury restricted him to just a few appearances for Wigan last season, and he returned to Cardiff City on a season's loan on August 6th 2010. He is a senior Wales International with nearly 40 appearances for his country.
