Michael Chopra enjoyed a solid sixty minutes on Tuesday as 'City reserves hosted Bristol Rovers.

The influential striker had been out of action following a rash tackle in the 4-0 win over Doncaster, but he came through well in his first reserve outing since August, playing his full pre-determined sixty minutes against the Pirates reserves squad at the Vale training ground.

The mixed Bluebirds starting eleven also included Gavin Rae, Stephen McPhail, Solomon Taiwo and Aaron Wildig in a match that ended 5-1 to Cardiff with Chopra and Taiwo amongst the goal-scorers.

The run-out will of Chopra will no doubt please Dave Jones and Cardiff City fans ahead of Saturday's midday showdown with Bristol City at Cardiff City Stadium.
