Marouane Chamakh signed for City on 11th October, 2016.

Chamakh began his professional career with Bordeaux and went on to spend eight seasons with Les Girondins, scoring a total of seventy-nine goals for the club.

The Moroccan forward, who has sixty-five international caps to his name, scored fourteen goals as Bordeaux won the Ligue 1 title in 2008/09, before helping them reach the Quarter-Finals of the UEFA Champions League the following year.

A move to Arsenal was to follow, where Chamakh made sixty-seven appearances, adding fourteen strikes to his career tally.

The centre-forward then continued his Premier League career with Crystal Palace from 2013-2016. He made sixty-five league and cup appearances for the Eagles, netting on ten occasions.
