You asked for it and we've listened. Forming part of our early survey findings concerning food and beverage offerings at Cardiff City Stadium we are pleased to announce some positive changes to help improve the match-day experience for our over 18s.
Over the summer we have been working closely with Levy Restaurants, our stadium based catering partner on match-day prices. Levy, understanding modern supporter needs are committed to Cardiff City fans and as such have made the decision to reduce beer price for the first time, despite rising costs and duty across the country.
In conjunction with Cardiff City, Levy Restaurants are working on a number of initiatives to help make Cardiff City Stadium the place to be on a match-day.
It has been agreed that:
• We will not be increasing the beer price this year, instead reducing it to £3.50 a pint of draft.
Not only that, but once our gates open you will be able to buy a pint of Fosters, Strongbow or Brains for only £3 for the first forty five minutes! As the saying goes, the early bird catches the Fosters.. and in this no catch special offer, fans who buy a pint between 1:30pm and 2:15pm on a standard 3pm match-day will benefit. *
To make this work we need your support. Running from the start of the season, we would like to see 'City fans to buy into this. Put simply, in order to maintain these prices we need to sell beer. It's a win-win situation.
• We will also be introducing our Cardiff City Community Pie, a homemade cottage pie, which when purchased Levy Restaurants will make a donation to the Cardiff City Community and Education Foundation, which they will match. This initiative will help the fund soccer summer school places for local children.
These initiatives will start from the pre-season home game against Newcastle United on Saturday August 11th, kick off 3pm.
We will be bringing you more news soon on improved bar facilities and initiatives at the ground. So make sure to set Cardiff City Stadium as your pre-match destination this year, celebrating our football only home together.
