MALKY: FANTASTIC FANS ON SATURDAY v POSH

Club News

Malky Mackay is looking forward to our Ambassador Day this Saturday as 'City host Peterborough United on a day when we could well see our highest attendance of the season - that with less than 200 Posh fans expected to be making the trip to the Welsh capital.

"Our season ticket holders are the lifeblood of the club - they're the people who keep the club going," he said. "We are mere custodians and the club belongs to our fans. They'll be here long after ourselves, our owners, directors and players go. It's something I want us to be proud of and I want them to know that we're trying everything we can to make this club the best that we can. I'm proud that they come and watch us, week in, week out.

"Our fans have been fantastic and from day one of this season we're really appreciated the atmosphere they've helped to create for us at home games, along with on the road. They've been a big asset to us all the way through, but especially in recent weeks they've been driving us forward late on in games.

"It's boosted the players and you can see the way both fans and players are after the games here, while I think Cardiff City supporters can see the lads working so hard for them, resulting in goals going in and positive results. We need them more than anything, both on Saturday against Peterborough and for the second half of the season."
