A thrilledMalky Mackaytold of his pleasure in seeing his side’s resolve against a dangerous Leicester City at KP Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Craig Bellamy’s twenty-fifth minute strike sealed a fantastic three points against the fifth placed Foxes – and extended City’s lead at the top of the nPower Championship.

"This was a really big win for us after losing to Peterborough and it was smashing the way we bounced back from that,” said the Gaffer.

“I'm delighted to have won that game today and our quality shone through at times. I’m thrilled with the maturity and calmness that we’re showing in match winning situations.

"We knew we were coming to play a very good team with a very good manager and that it was going to be tough. But I think this was a great advert for the Championship - and I'm not saying that just because we won.

"It was two teams playing attractive football and at a hell of a tempo.

“I have a group of players here who enjoy playing with each and work for each other. Without that enjoyment of each other’s company you don’t win anything. We have that at Cardiff City.”
