Following on from introducing our ground-breaking demand based pricing scheme last week, Cardiff City Football Club are today pleased to announce a new Group Ticketing Strategy. This strategy will be put in place for the forthcoming 2012/13 season.
Group ticketing enables all kinds of groups to benefit, whether they come to Cardiff City games via community, commercial or charity pathways. By booking in this way supporters can open up the ability of receiving benefits by booking in groups of ten or more.
This initiative will lead to increased attendances, whilst enabling groups to get involved in unique opportunities, such as a pre-match guard of honour, a children's pitch-side parade or a post match penalty shoot out on the pitch for example.
To drive the initiative forward Cardiff City have brought ion Group Sales Executive, Kelly Reardon-Brown, who will be engaging with groups to help deliver this opportunity to the fans.
Kelly who has previous group ticketing experience within the Celtic Crusaders and Cardiff Devils said, "Group Sales are an innovative way to give great benefits to fans who want to bring larger parties to a match, which previously before they haven't had the opportunity to do. We will be directing this initiative highly towards the community, fixing lower prices for children to give them an opportunity to participate in the new and fun match-day pitch activities."
Famous illustrator Mike Young, famous for his Super Ted animations and many more creations is also backing the new venture. Mike secured a number of tickets to be used at the club's discretion for special occasions and under privileged groups.
"Cardiff City is the team I have always supported and continues to be the team I will always support," he said. "I am pleased to back the group ticketing scheme as a way of introducing new young fans to this great Welsh club. I honoured to help launch the Group Ticketing Scheme and am sure this will help insure the inheritance of support in the area, especially for young fans of our team."
Prices will be fixed for children and dynamically group priced depending on the match banding. To qualify for Group Ticket prices, parties must be groups of 10 or more.
