WELCOME TO THE NEW SITE

Welcome to the new format official Cardiff City website

We would like to take a moment to welcome you all to this new look Cardiff City website, giving you some information as to the reasons behind the changes.

We have switched to a new format in line with our affiliation to Football League Interactive.

Why had we waited and kept on the old site until now? The switch to new platforms has run across the entire Football League and part of the Premier League, in initial stages running with a number of outage errors and technical issues we were keen to avoid. At the same time, changes to the older format site layout couldn’t be made.

Now, with a number of these issues resolved – and more promised continually and in the immediate future – we have now switched to the new site structure, working on additions and enhancements on a daily basis.

We would ask Cardiff City fans to remain patient during the evolution of this new website format. We are committed to making the absolute best of the contracted switch, bringing you up to date news, galleries, interviews and more. Our media team have been working on populating the site with content from this season and will be reporting remotely from Portman Road this weekend on this new format.

We would also recommend that Internet Explorer users update to the latest version, IE9 – also looking to the latest versions of Chrome, Safari and Firefox for the best experience. The new site also works well on tablets, such as an iPad.

Cardiff City Player subscribers will not be directly affected as the service is set to remain with the existing web provider for the remainder of the season at least. The Free 14 day trial is also running right now, including an excellent array of multi-camera highlights from the win over Birmingham City. Cardiff City Player is better than ever and improving all the time.

Mobile phone viewers will be able to access a new specific mobile site from October 15th, while we are also making full use of communications and interaction via Twitter and Facebook.

Should you have any queries, please email editor@cardiffcityfc.co.uk or interact directly with Barrie McAuliffe or Mark Denham on Twitter - @MAcMcAuliffe and @MarkDen_CCFC respectively.

Thank you all for your patience during the big switch.
