All you need to know ahead of Sunday's big game

With the Manchester City game just around the corner, here is some useful travel information before making your way to the Cardiff City Stadium this Sunday.

Car

If you are travelling by car please be aware there is NO parking spaces available here at the stadium unless you have a parking permit.  We would therefore recommend parking at either the Gol centre (CF11 8BR) or Fitzalen School (CF11 8XB) which are both down Lawrenny Avenue, which is then a 5 minute walk to the stadium.

Any fans coming to the stadium for the first time, access to us from the M4 is easy.  Leave the M4 at junction 33 and take the A4232 towards Cardiff/ Barry.  Exit the A4232 on the B4267 turn off, signposted towards Cardiff City Stadium. Follow the slip-road off the B4267 and take the first available exit off the roundabout onto Leckwith Road and the Stadium will then be on your right.

Cardiff Bus

If you are travelling to the game by bus, The CCFC match day shuttle service runs between the city centre (Wood Street – outside Central Bus & Rail Stn) direct to the ground runs every 20 minutes on game day.

Buses start running 2 hours before kick-off and the last departure from the city centre is 20 minutes before kick-off.  After the game buses pick up from near to the Fred Keenor statue/Sand Martin with the first bus running 5 minutes after the final whistle and run for up to an hour after the game.

Train

Fans wishing to travel by train to Cardiff City’s first home Premier league fixture are advised that Arriva Trains Wales will be operating a half hourly service to Grangetown Railway station, which is only 15 minutes’ walk from the Cardiff City Stadium. Details of services can be found by visiting www.nationalrail.co.uk.

We are in the process of creating a home fan pack which will contain all the information you need to know to get the most out of your match day experience. When complete we will announce!
