FIXTURE CHANGES: FOXES AND TYKES

Fixture News

We can today confirm details of two home games, Leicester and Barnsley that have been rescheduled in the season run-in.

Cardiff City and Leicester City have agreed to move the Tuesday April 9th fixture to 7:45pm, Tuesday March 12th in order to ease fixture congestion for both teams.

The move comes following Barnsley’s FA Cup progression and their March 9th match against Manchester City, the day the Tykes were set to travel to Cardiff City Stadium in the Championship.

By moving the Leicester game from its April slot, Cardiff City remove the prospect of a potential eighth game in an already fixture packed month, also easing the financial pressure on supporters for having to try and attend six home games in quick succession during what could be a vital month in the aspirations of the club.

Leicester City, with promotion hopes of their own also benefit with the new date, the Foxes now not having to make a third away trip in nine days after travelling to Barnsley and Brighton at the start of the month.

With the Foxes game being moved, Barnsley FC will now slot in to the Tuesday April 9th slot, the match kicking off at 7:45pm.

Tickets already purchased for both games are still valid. Please contact the ticket office on 0754 345 1400 with any queries.
