Each member of the Cardiff City squad have already pledged a day’s wage in support of Cardiff City Community & Education Foundation’s inaugural Foundation Day with every donation greatly appreciated.

What the Foundation day is all about

Cardiff City Community & Education Foundation is the charitable arm of Cardiff City Football Club, which on an annual basis requires in excess of £1.4 million to operate. The Foundation plays a central role in improving the lives and opportunities of people in its local communities, providing for previously under-represented groups.

The Foundation aims to raise an extra £480,000 per annum in order to increase its reach (currently at 75,000 people a year). The players’ wage pledge will go a significant way to reaching that target.

*Winning tickets will be available for collection on the day, Saturday 5th April, at Cardiff City Stadium. The winner of the competition will be selected at random from those who tweet a donation confirmation screenshot using the hashtag #CEFDAY14. The winner, chosen at random, will be contacted via direct message on twitter.
