CITY TO FACE PORT VALE AWAY IN CAPITAL ONE CUP R2

Having successfully seen off Coventry City with the 2-1 win in the opening Wednesday night fixture, Cardiff City will make a Capital One Cup second round trip to Port Vale at the end of August.
City were ball number 25 in the draw, with the upcoming match the first time both clubs have met in competitive action in eleven years.
Back then, Cardiff recorded a league double in the promotion winning 2002/03 season - Gavin Gordon and Peter Thorne scoring in a 2-0 away win at Vale Park.
Please note that all ties are to be played on the week commencing Monday 25 August 2014. Ticket details will be announced once agreed between both clubs.
